Tina – moda Creative Director
Tina – Salon Creative Director
From as early as I can remember I wanted to be a hairdresser. I’ve been styling and cutting hair in Bristol for twenty-five years now and I still love it. I set up moda in 2005 and the hair salon continues to go from strength to strength, achieving 5 stars with the good salon guide. I am blessed with an amazing team of hair stylists which just keeps getting better – we love taking part in Bristol’s hair shows to demonstrate what we can do!
I began in Moda in 2008 at the age of 16 as a Saturday girl, born and bred Moda, Tina trained me in all aspects of my hairdressing until becoming a stylist, I went on to build up my clientele within the salon until I left to have my daughter. I have now returned to Moda to continue what I love to do most, I particularly enjoy colour work but I love all areas of hairdressing and have most enjoyed returning to the salon floor in my role as a senior stylist.
I have been hairdressing in moda for a year ever since Tina had cherry picked me on an occasion when she was training in the college I attended and have never looked back. I began hairdressing in my early 20s not realising sooner that this was the career path which I love! I have really enjoyed every aspect. I love my clients and getting to know them more and more each time they visit. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time with my son.
I started hairdressing 7 years ago, I worked at Moda as an apprentice where Tina helped me complete my training & grow as a stylist. In that time I went on to win two hairdressing cut & colour competitions – Wella Xposure & Student of the Year and I have even had my work published on front covers of hairdressing magazines! Now I’ve returned I can’t wait to challenge myself within the industry and enter more competitions and photo shoots. I recently returned back to my roots at Moda after working and traveling Australia & Asia. I love all aspects of hairdressing but over the years I have found my passion for creative colouring after working so closely on numerous colour training courses. I love to make all my cuts and colours personalised and unique to my clients and I thrive off making them feel good.
I started my hairdressing career in 2011 when I first joined Moda hairdressing.
Shadowing Tina, my knowledge and skill set grew and I quickly developed my hairdressing skills. Under Tina’s wing I worked my way up to becoming a stylist and grew my clientele.
After having a short break away I have returned to Moda hairdressing to further develop my hairdressing career. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but particularly colouring, blow-drying and styling hair.
I have enjoyed meeting new clients and being reunited with old ones.
I have been working within a salon environment since I was 14 years old, from an early age I just knew that I wanted to be a hairdresser, I qualified in my level 2 & 3 and really want to focus on colouring. I joined the moda team to take advantage of the learning and training opportunity that comes with being a moda stylist, Tina is always ready to share her experience and teach myself and the other stylists the things we need to learn to be the best we can.
I began hairdressing 2 years ago as it has always been a passion of mine, so I decided to go back into training and getting my NVQ, whilst doing an apprentice job at a salon. since then I have been working towards my styling skills and getting more and more experience in the hair industry. I love doing long hair and classic cuts while adding my own creative edge to them. I also won assistant blow dry competition for the south-west. I’m looking forward to gaining more techniques and experience with moda.
I am at Moda as a 2nd year apprentice and started in July, I am especially looking forward to learning more on colour work, and have already learnt so much working on the salon floor. I feel this is the perfect place for me to train it’s so much more hands on. Time is flying and I go to college occasionally when I am not working full time in the salon. I look forward to meeting more of Moda’s clientele now I am shampooing and performing conditioning rituals. In my spare time, I like to shop and I practice on my sister’s hair at home when she is going out.
I have always wanted to be a hairdresser, I have been a Saturday girl here in Moda for almost a year now and have loved it ever since.I am now an apprentice and look forward to begin here full time to start my training so I can pursue my dream of becoming a hairdresser.
It will be amazing to have such in-depth knowledge by working day in day out on the shop floor.
